Julio Bashmore- The Horn That Time Forgot
My top five could have consisted solely of Julio Bashmore tracks. His big bass vibes accompany his stye of production so fittingly. His tracks always make me ask myself ‘why haven’t i heard music like this before?” which is something i do not find myself doing very often which is very refreshing.

Trickski - Wilderness (Genius of Time Remix)
You can’t really go wrong with Trickski. Genius of time are on fire at the moment and their take on wilderness is definitely a contribution to this success.
They take that breakdown to another level with their big spacious chords and progressive moving melody. So good.

Poolside- Harvest Moon
This cover of Neil Young classic Harvest Moon just infuses a slow,
drug fuelled disco vibe onto what was once a great “love song” yet it
doesn’t seem to tarnish the original, instead giving it a new life for
this generations youth.

Jeremy Glenn - New Life
Jeremy Glenns vocals in itself are enough to warrant this spot though
they lay top of a lush synth driven bed of melodically downtempo
genius. He has been quiet other than this release on future classic
this year though he is definitely a producer to look out for in 2012.

Psychemagik - Wake Up Everybody
Luscious rework of “Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes - Wake Up Everybody (1976)”. Makes great use of the heavenly piano riff to take the song on a spaced out journey.
